Strike Vote or Contract Vote: It’s up to Southwest Airlines now.

TWU Local 556, the Union of Southwest Airlines Flight Attendants, joins Passengers and the Public in demanding that Southwest Airlines Make It Right. Despite four and half long years of negotiations, Southwest Airlines still has not brought to the table the contract with pay and working conditions that honor Flight Attendants’ dedication.

While Southwest Airlines Flight Attendants continue performing their important jobs to help ensure passengers’ safety and comfort in the air, they have endured too much: Threats of lay-offs and pay cuts from Southwest Airlines. Operational failures on the part of their airline. Increased Passenger aggression. Serving on the front lines during a pandemic. Lack of hotels and access to hot meals. And as their employer, Southwest Airlines, continues to attempt to add more job duties to their list, inflation robs these hard-working aviation safety professionals of the value of their dollar. Flight Attendants work more for less value, while company executives are awarded with bonuses and shareholders are given dividends and stock buybacks.

The improvements Southwest Airlines Flight Attendants have demanded to their working conditions would help passengers, who also have endured Southwest Airlines’ lack of investment in its operation. As they were stranded in airports, watching their Christmas holiday slip through their fingers, passengers lived, first-hand, the inefficiencies and failures on the part of the carrier that Flight Attendants have been faced with for years. And they’re fed up, too.

It’s time for Southwest Airlines to invest in its operation. It’s time for Southwest Airlines to invest in its workers. It’s time for Southwest Airlines to stop being greedy! Southwest Flight Attendants are the front line that makes the bottom line!

It’s time for Southwest Airlines to Make It Right!

By adding my name to this petition, I declare that Southwest Airlines needs to Make It Right for Flight Attendants and other hard-working employees who deserve fair pay and working conditions.
