Date for your diaries - please do attend the Parkside meeting next Wednesday. Chance to hear in person from the CAP leadership, and press them to pause the process with UL, and to open talks with local trusts.
Updates this week:
- Here is the letter in reply to our petition from Janet Swadling, chair of CAP board (March 6).
- In response to a Freedom of Information request, CAP has published these documents and these minutes. (March 6)
- A distressing article in Cambridge Independent reports that "Teachers feel betrayed over academy plans" (March 8)
Having read these items, our view is that CAP has given inadequate reasons not to explore merger with any of the local trusts suggested to them by the Regional Schools Commissioner. We urge you to attend the meeting to complain. Remember that the views of over 300 stakeholders, endorsed by the Cambridge MP, have been ignored.
The deal is not yet done - we can stop it at the Headteacher Board even if CAP continues to ignore the views of its stakeholders.
