On November 18, 1952, LT Williams unhesitatingly and with no regard to his personal safety, single-handedly engaged 7 superior MiG-15s in his F9F-5 Panther defending Task Force 77.

In a fierce 35 minute fight, LT Williams superb pilot skills and gunnery, accounted for three MiGs downed with a fourth confirmed years later.

Out of ammo and suffering from 263 bullet holes and a 37mm hit that badly damaged his controls, LT Williams successfully disengaged and demonstrated outstanding airmanship landing safely on the USS Oriskany at 170 knots vs the normal 105 knots.

LT Williams acts of valor, kept "Top Secret" for fifty years is unmatched, either in the Korean War, the Vietnam War or since.

WE have the opportunity to Honor and Award Living Legend, 91 year old, CAPT Royce Williams.  We are recommending re-review for recognition in hopes of awarding CAPT Williams the highest  US military decoration, The Congressional Medal of Honor.
