Charge Amber Heard with assault for cutting Johnny Depp's finger off.

Charge Amber Heard with assault for cutting Johnny Depp's finger off.
The Issue
In March 2015, Amber Heard allegedly lobbed a vodka bottle at Johnny Depp which crushed one finger and severed the tip of it. The fingertip was later found by Ben King, Depp’s estate manager, during cleanup efforts following the incident.
Heard denied culpability, saying that Depp had severed the finger himself, but was later heard on audiotape saying that she “didn’t mean to do it,” and “Never meant to hurt him.”
At the time, Johnny Depp took efforts to protect his then wife, getting her out of the country within hours, and refusing to implicate her in the incident. Depp flew back to America to have surgery on his hand, where he contracted the deadly MRSA virus three times during his recovery.
Since then, Depp and Heard have been embroiled in legal battles, including a libel suit that Depp filed against the Sun tabloid for calling him a wife beater, and a defamation suit that Depp filed against Heard over an Op-Ed she penned, in which she referred to herself as the victim of domestic abuse.
Depp lost the Sun suit, with the tabloid having to say only that they had due cause to believe Heard’s allegations when she made them. Whether or not they were true didn’t matter.
But those are civil actions, filed by Johnny Depp to clear his good name. That’s not the same thing as a criminal charge.
As I understand it, there is no statute of limitations in Australia for assault that results in physical injuries that need to be treated medically. That means that charges can be filed against Amber Heard for assault resulting in grievous bodily injury, as the incident took place in Australia.
Johnny Depp, if you read this, you should file a complaint against your ex-wife in Australia in connection with the incident that saw your fingertip get severed. That way, they’ll be forced to take legal action and file charges against her for assault.
You know better than anybody how volatile she can be. If you put her in jail now, think of any potential future victims you may be saving from harm. And consider carefully the fact that she now has a helpless infant daughter in her care. Think about that.
Australia, if any authorities are reading this, please take action and charge Amber Heard with severing Johnny Depp’s fingertip off. She’s gotten away with enough potential illegalities in Australia already. Don’t let her walk on this serious offense, mocking you, your people, and your laws.
Charge Amber Heard with cutting off Johnny Depp’s finger.
