OUR IRISH HORSE AND DOG  POUNDS SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO EASTERN EUROPEAN BUSINESS INTERESTS.

SUFFERING ANIMALS NEED CARERS NOT PROFITEERS!

ACS MUST STOP TENDERING FOR OUR LOCAL POUNDS.

The Company ACS (Animal Collection Services)  who want to take over Clare Dog pound has very little documentation online and its Irish Handlers Four Seasons Promotions Ltd 'trading as ACS' is made up of business men involved in Security and stocks and finance.(Including a Brinks Ireland Director). ACS is owned by a  Latvian man named DACE INDA.

 These people have no connection to or history of interest in  abandoned dogs  and horses and at best are seeing this as a business interest. At worst as the only way to raise finance from unwanted animals is either to rehome them with the receipt of a donation from possible new carers  or the ship/kill/slaughter route on a large scale we could be facing major problems. 

Killing animals and disposing of their bodies is the most expensive part of running a pound , why then is this company  interested in taking over this and many other pounds/horse slaughter facilities etc. They already run horse pounds with exceptionally high kill rates. 

What I am coming to is the point that the animal carcasses  ‘produced’ by the sought after Ennis Pound and other pounds must be either lined up for some purpose producing huge profits for those tendering or the rehoming /donation option comes into play. With ACS's record on other pounds and their high kill rate with horses will the high kill rate be applied to dogs?.

 Do the Local Council know where the carcasses from the ACS ‘s current ‘working pounds’ are already being rendered or sent to? Has this been researched ?

The AFAR group are ultimately working with some journalists and politicians  to expose the future and current workings of this undertaking or group, with particular emphases on the link to Latvia where coincidentally   a huge slaughterhouse is already located. 

We do not as yet have all of the answers but some Dail questions and Minister questions are pending have been put forward at our request and we will be highlighting and publishing the answers to these or indeed the possible  lack of transparency.

 Given the grave situation possible for Irish animals if ACS are awarded this contract, it would be wise of local councils to await all of the findings and to reconsider giving the contract to an Irish ‘fully transparent’ humane Animal Rehoming group. Many unfortunate sentient lives are at risk here. Also at risk  is the credibility of any contracts that could possibly be issued and found to be not what they seem.

The Council remain silent and tell us the elected Councillors have no say at all in this venture. 

We will endeavor to continue researching this conundrum and the alleged Latvian connection to  the Rendering plant BIOVAST to explore the possibility of unfortunate Irish animals being rendered there as a premium financial option. 

We are searching for answers ACS refuse to meet with interested parties.

Maybe the Councils  have aired all of these concerns already ,maybe not but The AFAR group will do all we can  to stop Clare Dogs being  under the management of people who want to use them either a business investment or other?

Animals who end up alone, injured, abandoned and frightened deserve respect and the best care within our capabilities.
