Stop Minet Junior School's Fox Cull!

The Issue

Please help us fight this awful issue!!

Minet Junior School in Hayes have decided to trap and murder all foxes on-site for the ridiculous reason of having to occasionally clean up after them. There are multiple families of foxes living on the grounds that have been beloved residents for many decades. They live on the grounds, in resident’s gardens bordering the fields as well as in a local nature park and reserve.

These foxes currently all have cubs, and can often be seen playing on the playing fields early in the morning. Local residents are often seen standing round the fence lines enjoying their early morning walks watching these beautiful animals playing, not harming anybody. Children attending the school that come in early often stand with their parents, visibly excited about seeing a fox. Local wildlife and animal conservation is a great lesson for children to learn, and most children at the school are aware of the population and love seeing them round the school.

However, the sites seen now are very different. The grounds are littered with evil metal cages, attempting to trap these beautiful animals which will then be shot. The cages will not be checked regularly so foxes are likely to cause injury to themselves in addition to the intense stress they’ll experience during being trapped! Not to mention, the helpless cubs that will be left behind.

I hope you will sign and share this far and wide and help this school get the message that the foxes are beloved members of this community and we will not tolerate this inhumane treatment of our local wildlife!
