Every day millions of people are living in fear of death. War stricken countries destroying lives for millions that never asked for war. Medical care is sparse. Human rights are non-existent. Refugees are dying trying to reach safer lands as a desperate attempt to stay alive. Children, women and men who want to live ordinary lives but have had that choice taken away from them. Here in New Zealand we do not live in this fear. Our own homeless have access to medical care and shelter and charity. People are blinded by imaginary lines on a map and are worried about job availability and other non-important politics. But this is about people's lives. Thor these people, it is a matter of life and death. We are weighing up a humans life to how many jobs we have in our country. Please consider if it were your child/mother/sibling that had washed up on our shore dead.. You would hope that someone would have taken them in before it were too late. And we would hope if anything so unfortunate were to happen to NZ that other countries would extend a hand of help. We are all from this planet. Where you are from and how much money is available should not even come into question when it comes to helping to save lives.
