The Jailhouse Taverne, in Grafton Township, Ohio, is the city's largest employer and tax contributor. The trustees have modified their noise ordinance so that we cannot have concerts any longer or we face severe fines and potential jail time for "loud music."

While we agree we are a nation of laws, we feel that the Grafton Township elected officials have overstepped their authority and are targeting our business by passing legislation that frankly, we don't believe is enforceable in a court of law.

These trustees do not seem willing to negotiate or compromise with us, and have gone so far as to have a County Sheriff give a ticket to our head chef who now faces a 2nd degree misdemeanor charge which could be punishable by up to 90-days in jail and severe fines.

For what? A little music? Is this America? Do we have to stand for oppressive government? No, we don't. Join us in showing the trustees that we do not want over reaching big government in Grafton Township.
