Pass the Act Relative to Police Equipment

The Issue

Generation Citizen is a non-profit that works to ensure that every student in the United States receives an effective action civics education, which provides them with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in our democracy as active citizens.

The students of Brighton High School's Period 1 JROTC Class have identified police brutality as an issue that affects community members in the state of Massachusetts. They aim to convince the Massachusetts legislature to pass the Act Relative to Police Equipment, which will require all police to wear body cameras while on duty.

Thank you in advance for your support of not only this political legislation, but also the education and cultivation of passion for these high school seniors.

Thank you for reaching out on the camera issue. I do support expanded use of video cameras in policing and I hope we are able to find a good legislative approach to it this year.
