Keep Louisiana's ACT 378/SPAS Program Funded!

The Issue

The Act 378/SPAS program provides support to people with disabilities to remain in their own home, work at jobs in the community, pay their share of taxes, and be contributing members of society in our great state. The Governor’s revised budget proposal is threatening to eliminate the Act 378/SPAS program. We need your support to help PROTECT Act 378/SPAS and continue to fund these vital services.

Most of the beneficiaries receiving services do not qualify for any other programs that provide similar support. The Act 378/SPAS program is the end of the road for many people who have become much more independent with this assistance, and without the support they receive, the results will be devastating.

Please join us in signing this petition so our lawmakers know that the proposed cut will greatly impact the lives of those who are receiving services. Continued funding will increase their quality of life and allow them to live in their own homes and not be forced to simply exist inside the walls of an institution.
