Young women, predominantly curvier than others, are being targeted at different schools among the Cincinnati Public School district. I am writing this petition because I was targeted myself and need your help validating the situation at hand. Younger men are not receiving consequences for wearing things like muscle shirts, having under garments showing, or offensive clothing. Young woman’s legs nor an inch of our stomach is not distracting the other students but to the staff. We need to create an environment where young women do not feel singled-out by staff and administrators. We would like for our voices and concerns to be heard! Young women are understanding with the consequences with showing too much skin, however, we are growing into adults and should not be treated as objects. If this petition does not go as planned, young women will continue to be objectified by staff, faculty, and administrators in Cincinnati Public Schools and high schools across the United States. This is a small step for a bigger picture. We are not asking for the dress code to be removed, we are asking for it to be modified so that young women, like myself, can be expressive but not targeted when wearing certain clothing.
