In 2018, Kathleen Davies lost in the Democrat primary for the Delaware State Auditor to Kathleen McGuiness.  McGuiness went on to win in the General Election.  Davies was easily the more qualified of the two having worked in the State Auditor of Accounts office and essentially led the office for several years.  

During the campaign, Delaware's largest media source - The News Journal, actively went after Davies in what many feel was an attempt to get McGuiness elected.  Several falsehoods and damaging stories to tarnish Davies reputation were not fair and balanced and was horrible journalism. 

Today the Delaware Attorney General indicted State Auditor McGuiness on several charges including Felony Theft, Intimidation, Nepotism, and Conflict of Interest.  

We the people of Delaware implore Delaware Governor John Carney to place Kathleen Davies in the role of State Auditor until the next election. It is in your power to do so and there is no one more qualified than Davies.
