The Issue

The Electoral Commission has initiated investigations of the campaign funding returns of a number of Conservative MPs from the 2015 General Election. Some of these inquiries have been pass to relevant Police Forces. With the need to negotiate the UK's departure from the EU, and to conduct an extensive review of UK Statute law, the Government must have a valid mandate from the electorate. It is essential that the on-going investigations on this subject are assisted by full co-operation and transparency. The investigations must be conducted with full rigour, but also concluded before the Government initiates any action regarding the UK's exit from the EU. The number of seats being investigates could lead to the current Conservative majority being lost.
