GIVE THEM A CHANCE INMATE LIVES MATTER!!!

The Issue

  • With the pandemic of the COVID-19 going on, non-violent offenders that that could be taking classes to earn good time can't and are being held in facilities that have infected inmates being brought into them.  They need to release these inmates so that they can be with the ones that they love also in this time of crisis, not trapped in a building where the same guards that check on and feed the sick ones also check on and feed the one that are not sick. They should be allowed to be with their family instead of forced to share space with inmates that have the virus. Their life is just as important as anyone elses life. They shouldnt have to listen to guards tell them that it doesnt matter if they get sick because they will be the first to die. Give them a chance also, they also have people that love them and care about them. Many of them would be getting released now or in weeks to come if they could take classes for good time but they have canceled all classes right now. So apply all the good time that they could be earning to their time and release them...whats being done at Bossier Parish Medium Facility is unjust. They are lying when someone calls up there and ask if any of the inmates are sick that is because they dont want to lose the money that they recieve for each inmate. Truth is that there are some inmates that are sick and they are keeping them in the same building as inmates that are not sick. Im sure that the same thing is happening in other prison facilities and not just this one. Every single one of those inmates has someone that loves and cares about them and they deserve the chance to be with them during this time. The President Donald Trump is calling for social distancing and at the same time the inmates in these prisons are in groups of more than 10 and more than 50. It seems only right that they should be released and given the same chance as everyone else..
