Lower Our Fuel Prices in Fowlerville, MI

The Issue

For entirely too long we have been paying an astronomical amount of money for our fuel in Fowlerville, Michigan. But surrounding areas such as Howell, are usually 30 to 40 cents cheaper per gallon of fuel. With the uprising cost of everything around us it is hard to understand how these companies can continue to price gouge us, with good conscience. I think it is time for us as a community to take a stand. I will be submitting this petition to state attorney General Bill Schuette of the Consumer Protection Division. I will also be sending this petition to state Senator Joe Hune of District 22, as well as state representative Henry Vaupel of District 47. I strongly urge you to stop giving in and filling up your fuel tank in Fowlerville for the time being, and use fuel stations just outside of our community. We need to force these companies to lower their prices. But here I stand and this is my start to try and make a difference. I just left the Howell area where gas prices are at $1.99 per gallon and our fuel here in Fowlerville is at $2.29. Why such a significant difference? Please sign this petition and pass it forward. Thank you!
