Tennessee football provides a source of enjoyment to Volunteer fans; however, the University's athletic department seems set on settling for mediocrity. The fans of Tennessee football make significant economic contributions to the University of Tennessee and surrounding Knoxville community. Recent attempts were made to hire Greg Schiano, a person rumored to be disreputable in character, as head coach of the Tennessee football team. As the person responsible for such a hire, AD John Currie has proven to be incompetent of making decisions out of the best interest for the University of Tennessee athletic department. Chancellor Beverly Davenport continues to support John Currie's inability to perform the duties for which he was hired. We need to fire Beverly Davenport as Tennessee's Chancellor, and hire a competent team dedicated to restoring Tennessee football to greatness.
