Women are bombarded with messages about their bodies everyday. As a highly successful magazine, Cosmopolitan puts images in front of girls and women that help define what is "beautiful." If all we see are bodies that are one size, extremely thin, it sends the message that we need to fix our own bodies. This can lead to low self-esteem and eating disorders.

I'm in recovery from an eating disorder that started when I was fifteen. I know firsthand the effect of body-shaming. Help promote positive body-image and stop the epidemic of self-hate by including images of women who are plus-size in each issue that you publish.
