Bernie Kosar, GM - Cleveland Browns

Bernie Kosar, GM - Cleveland Browns

The Issue

For too long, I've watched the Browns struggle in every aspect of what defines a professional sports organization.  Every Sunday, for as long as I can remember, I've dragged myself to the game/TV/radio to faithfully follow my Brownies, and in the end all I'm left with is heartache, frustration, and time wasted.  I've endured the twenty-something starting QBs, I've endured several head coaching changes, I've witnessed several "new systems," and I've watched the most creative ways to inexplicably rip a game from the clutches of victory and lose in the last minute of the game.  Last season, however, was the boiling point.  With Kyle Shanahan as the OC, we finally lost the predictability on offense and managed to string together winning drives.  Enter Ray Farmer (the worst person to ever be given control in a draft scenario).  If Ray Farmer could channel the spirit of Vince Lombardi and read the mind of Ozzie Newsome, he still couldn't successfully manage a pee-wee football team.  He sends texts to Shanahan telling him which plays to run and which personnel to use and, thus, causing him to flee to Atlanta.  Now, with a four-game suspension and the Dwayne Bowe contract, I think it's time to read the writing on the wall and get rid of Farmer.

I propose that Jimmy Haslam terminates Ray Farmer as soon as feasibly possible, and replace him with Bernie Kosar.  If you've ever heard Bernie's color commentary, you know he tells it like it is.  He's got a good football acumen and a personal connection with the organization.  Furthermore, the experience as a player, a brief stint as an owner, and the overall time spent around the game, Bernie has what it takes to play a pivotal role in reversing the franchise's woes.  He's the last QB to have any degree of success with the Browns and, if you're looking for a franchise quarterback of the future, who better to have making the call than the guy that played and excelled in the most brutal conditions Cleveland could serve up.  He has the background, the knowledge, and experience to make the smart decisions the organization needs, and I truly believe he won't buckle under the pressure of media, fans, and most importantly, the owner.  Please help me make Bernie Kosar the GM of the Cleveland Browns!?!?
