Penn State supporters continue to deny Joe Paterno's wrongdoing in the Jerry Sandusky child abuse scandal. There is clear evidence that Joe Paterno turned a blind eye to assistant coach Jerry Sandusky's repeated molestations of children, yet Penn State supporters deny his wrongdoing and view him to be a God-like figure. Now, Penn State supporters are petitioning to have Joe Paterno's statue returned to campus, which is inexcusable. Because they have not yet learned their lesson, they should be removed from the Big 10 Conference as the other schools in the Big 10 hold themselves to higher values and ethical standards.
