We are a group of leaders and concerned members of the Greater Boston Jewish community who have strong personal and ideological ties to Israel and Zionism. We are committed to Israel’s security and future as a Jewish and democratic state, living alongside a Palestinian state.

We are among the majority of Jews in the US who believe that Israel and a Palestinian State can coexist peacefully side-by-side, and among the 83% who do not believe that settlements in the West Bank help Israeli security (2016 Pew Survey). Like many of Israel’s veteran military and intelligence leaders, we believe that settlements perpetuate an occupation that greatly threatens Israel’s long-term security. 

We are in the 50th year of Israeli control over the West Bank. It is time for us to speak out.  As our Jewish tradition teaches: "It is not your responsibility to finish the work of mending the world, but neither are you free to desist from it." (Rabbi Tarfon, Pirke Avot 2:21). We call on the leadership of our Jewish community to demonstrate real support for the two-state solution by taking a moral and principled stand on the issue of settlement expansion.

Help us demonstrate that we are resolute in our commitment to Israel’s future as a Jewish and democratic state, and that we will never stop working and advocating for measures that will ensure that peace is achievable in our lifetime.
