I have been saying for some time now that unless these disgraceful credit card surcharges are banned completely, that they would creep into EVERY purchase transaction that we make, escalating the current surcharges collected in this country from the estimated $1.4bn, to over $7bn annually. While we have won the battle to see the airline's remove their excessive credit card fees soon according to the government, we have not succeeded in getting them banned altogether. Well it seems I am going to be proven right again. The NSW Roads and Maritime government agency is now adding credit card surcharges as a direct result of what is now a government sanctioned added cost of using your credit cards!!!
