While it is a victory I am proud of, I did not manage to get surcharges banned altogether, and now worry that what this new Turnbull Government legislation has actually done is open the flood gate for EVERY Australian business to now charge a credit card surcharge (and mark my words, they all now will sadly), but at least these excessive surcharges like the one that Jetstar have been guilty of for years are now against the law! You can dob in excessive surcharging to the ACCC. This Choice article and campaign I think is a great one. Take note. Thank you for all of your support in achieving this outcome.
