The RBA "public consultation period" ends on Wednesday this week! We need to bombard the RBA with a clear message and we have 24 hours to do it.
What is critical is that you send them an email BUT following these clear instructions please or else it will not be an eligible submission. You have to send them a Word document .doc file please. Submissions in PDF format must be accompanied by a version in an accessible format such as .rtf or .doc.
So here is what I need you to do, to prepare a quick simple submission that clearly outlines your views.
Here are mine again:-
1. A total ban on credit card surcharges is what I want. 100% no surcharges what so ever. You see, the Government wants to legislate the introduction of "fair" surcharges. None of them are fair for goodness sake!!
2. Remind the RBA that to allow surcharges is to legislate their adoption by all business which I believe will lift the surcharges collected in this country from $1.5bn annually today to over $5bn!!
3. It's pretty clear I think that government want this cause they are also offenders charging these surcharges AND they get the GST on them!!!!
So send you submissions to pysubmissions@rba.gov.au and don't delay.
Time is short!! Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Klaus
PS: let's drown them in our paperwork and the strong message "we do not want them in any form!!!"
