The European Union is still demanding Thai Citizen  to apply for a VISA for short tourist journey to the European Union Schengen Area countries. Thailand is not asking for a visa to the European Citizen for short time journeys.

Requiring a VISA to Thai citizen is a nonsense, for these reason:

• Thai Citizen are willing to travel to Europe with the sole purpose of holyday and shopping, this will greatly improve tourism revenue for all European countries.
• Thai citizen are not looking for jobs (legal or not) in Europe, since the unemplyment rate is  only 1% in Thailand
• Neighbouring countries citizen such as Malaysian are not requested to obtain a EU VISA.  Thailand has similar demographic and pro capita revenue as Malaysia, so it is not understandable WHY Thai citizen are still requiring a Visa.
• JAPAN has lifted visa requirement for Thai people, and has enjoyed great benefits from nearly 1 million per year Thai tourist, who are spending in year 2016 in Japan over 1 billion dollar.
• Because of the European restrictive policy on VISA there are no more than 200,000 Thais visiting Europe every year

For all the reason above we demand to remove the VISA for Thai citizen for travels of short duration to Europe.
