St. Peter's cemetery improperly disposed of personal items at family plots within their cemetery. These items included statues of the blessed mother, engraved items, personal items left by family and loved ones, etc. that have been placed there for 10+ years, more specifically the children's area was wiped bare, angel statues, perpetual light candles, crucifixes, and more. All while specific plots were left in touched and have what they refer to as "not approved items" so much so that you can not walk between head stones.
there was no notification to plot owners of this "clean up". While there have been vague rules with little signage regarding those rules, items were disposed of in a sac religious manner and disposed of in a dumpster without notice and discovered as people came to visit their loved ones.
The cemetery director, parish priest and arch diocese all have given conflicting information when spoken to regarding this issue. None of which matches what the other says, the arch diocese will not return phone calls or messages left.
This petitions purpose is to have the employees of the cemetery removed and requesting father Pat step down and moved to another parish.
If you would like further pictures of items disposed of you can find them on Facebook, this has been devastating within our local community and has caused much outrage so much so local and national news channels have been covering this!
