Wisconsin state legislators are trying to pass a bill that would make it so trans students wouldn't be able to use the restrooms and locker rooms that match their gender identity, completely disregarding individual students' stories and putting them in danger. The proposed gender-neutral bathroom compromise is not fiscally feasible for many schools and do nothing to help the situation. Trans students are at an increased risk of substance abuse, bullying, neglect, and suicide, and such bills that are set to further demonize these students should not be accepted. Tell Wisconsin legislators that trans students deserve respect and that we will not allow this blatant civil rights abuse that mirrors North Carolina to exist in our great state!
