Asking Ikea to create jobs by manufacturing Africa-themed products in Africa

The Issue

Youth unemployment has reached more than 80% in some African countries. Ikea is planning to release "Africa themed" products in 2019. 9 African designers are creating these products but they will not be manufactured in Africa. This amounts to "cultural appropriation" by Ikea. In other words, Ikea is using African cultural with out benefitting the vast majority of Africans. Africa does not need prayers, it needs jobs. This is a demand for at least 50% of Ikea's Africa themed products to be manufactured in Africa.
