We are demanding that the state reform the Department of Child Protective Services

We want this reform for the children of the state of California's wellbeing. Studies have shown that removal and long-term separations of children from there parents and placement into the foster care system has life long emotional and psychological effects.
We want all Social Workers employed by Child Protective Services have no less then a two year degree related to psychology and/or childhood development as to reduce the effects of the departments intervention into the lives of children and families.
We want all Social Workers employed by Child Protective Services and the Family Dependancy courts be held to the same standards of evidence as Police Officers. They must present evidence beyond a reasonable doubt proving any and all allegations before any warrant for removal can be issued.
We want the state of California creates an oversight organization to oversee all cases and complaints. This organization will hold administrative hearings, take complaints about Social Workers, investigate any and all complaints of constitutional rights violations by the department and audit all case files on a quarterly bases.
We want parents be allowed to request a trial by jury before parental rights can be terminated and before the removal of any child from there custody, thus giving the accused parents a fair and just process to face there accusers, to present evidence on there own behalf and to call witnesses.
