Gentrification is a rampant issue in our community of Inglewood. Due to the construction of the Rams Stadium, there is much renovations and infrastructure being built to prepare for the influx of people who will be making there way down to Inglewood for the Forum and the Stadium next to it. This is extremely worrisome issue for Inglewood natives because we live in a predominantly low socioeconomic neighborhood, and this new infrastructure is going to make all the rents go up and our people do not make enough money to accommodate for the increase in rent prices that will be widespread. These people will be forced to relocate and the more affluent usually white people will begin to move in and force the predominantly black and Latino community to move out.
