Trying to resolve the issue of Terra State Community College's fraudulent activities has been to the equivalent of 'pulling teeth'. Working directly with one of their workers, Steph, I found myself rather frustrated due to the lack of answers I received. This is what I addressed: "You have yet to explain why it's alright for Terra's financial aid to lie to students? Why is it ok that when I went to them for help and they told me my best option was to drop my classes because I wouldn't held held accountable for the remaining tuition. This is very obviously not the case. Do you know what fraud is Steph? Fraud is "the wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain". You can't tell me that Terra State Community College's Financial Aid lying to myself and other students to steal money that they said wouldn't have to be paid isn't fraud! I find it rather ironic that you also can't find complaints that have been submitted through your site. Fraud is happening at that school. I know what they told me, my story will not change, and I will not stop until Terra is held accountable and responsible for their actions! Maybe for you having a few thousand dollars STOLEN isn't a big deal, but for me it is! This situation is so emotionally frustrating for me it's literally affecting my health. The fact that you don't see an issue with their financial aid lying to students is a major red flag to me. The fact that you haven't addressed why it's ok for their financial aid to lie to students is an even bigger red flag. You don't think it's weird that Terra told me I wasn't eligible for financial aid when I was?! I sure as hell do! Seriously though? Are they paying your office with their fraud money? Is that why you're not taking this situation seriously?! You want written documentation? I've provided you with it. I've also provided a statement from the day I dropped my classes. There is no way around that Terra Financial Aid employees are lying to students. There is definitive proof from students & employees- yet you're telling me that it's all irrelevant because Terra has a written section that they choose to not provide students with?! So tell me Steph, point me in the right direction of someone who cares and will help because I'm done being told that it's my problem Terra is committing fraud- which is illegal." The answer I received: "As I mentioned, I am unable to confirm spoken conversations. I believe I have made my role clear. Thank you for your comments. They are noted." The words speak for themselves.
