Dear all, As you may know, the March for a People's Vote is imminently upon us. It's in London this coming Saturday, 23 June. Also, I have a message from Remain-Labour for any Labour Party members about a suggested action which I hope some of you will find helpful: A Message for Labour Party members from Remain-Labour Nothing in politics is inevitable. Britain doesn’t have to leave the European Union and Brexit can be stopped. Remain-Labour is a grassroots campaign that can make this happen, but we need your help. We have two clear objectives: • To campaign for the Labour Party to adopt a policy of supporting full British membership of the European Union, before Article 50 expires. • For that policy to be put to the British people either through a People's Vote or a manifesto commitment in any General Election taking place before Article 50 expires. To succeed in changing Labour Party policy on Brexit, the voices of Labour voters and members must be heard. If you are a party member, you can make a huge difference by proposing / supporting our motion (see website below) in your local Constituency Labour Party (CLP). Already over fifty such motions are progressing through wards or have already passed, but we are looking for volunteers to table and pass this motion in every CLP across the country, building a grassroots campaign that will ensure the party leadership has to think again on Brexit. And here is a message from Best for Britain: MPs will now debate the new amendment to the EU Withdrawal Bill on WEDNESDAY. Not next week as we originally thought. Now is the time to take action. Call your MP today and tell them to support a truly meaningful vote for Parliament. This vote will decide whether Parliament gets a truly meaningful vote on the Brexit deal. MPs will be asked to decide what's important to them - is it democracy and their duty to scrutinise the Government and hold the Prime Minister to account? Or is it loyalty to their political party?
