Sorry to be back to you again so soon, but, as you probably know, tomorrow is the 'biggest' day yet in the campaign for democracy and against Brexit.
Here's an email from REPRESENT US, drawing also on the work of other similar groups (good to see this collaboration!) which explains what's happening and suggests what we can do about it right now, this evening:
..........................................................................................................................
Dear Hilary,
Yesterday, the House of Lords voted with a huge majority to send back the Meaningful Vote amendment to the Commons.
The Commons vote will be TOMORROW (Wednesday afternoon) and is effectively asking the PM to live up to her word. Since the vote is now on what she promised, it is hard to see how the rebels could be bought off with fresh promises – they know what happened last time!
We’re asking everyone to send a last minute email to their MP TONIGHT - particularly Conservative pro-European MPs.
MPs will read their emails in the morning. Given how the government has behaved, there is every chance there will be even more rebels than last time.
But this isn’t even about Brexit anymore. It’s about a fundamental question of our society – who has the final say – Government or Parliament? We fought a civil war 376 years ago to first answer that question. Now this government want to rip that up as well. All in the name of Brexit.
There's a letter template especially designed for Conservative MPs on our REPRESENT US website.

BEST FOR BRITAIN have a generic template with an easy way of finding and emailing your MP

For those of you who have Labour MPs - we are fairly sure that they will vote for this.
But if you have a Labour MP who does NOT toe the party line on Brexit matters - here is a template for them.

Finally - if the House of Commons rejects the amendment, the House of Lords can 'insist' on it. Eventually the Government may well give up: they have to get the Bill passed reasonably soon. So we need to encourage members of the House of Lords to insist.
