Remove Naz Shah MP from the Commons Antisemitism Inquiry and expel her from Labour

Naz Shah MP is currently one of 11 MPs on the House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee which is about to launch an Inquiry into the Rise of Antisemitism.
She has also accused a local Conservative Councillor in her constituency of antisemitism, rightly leading to his immediate suspension and investigation by his party.
But Shah holds some pretty disturbing views about Jews.
- Tweeted a link to an article claiming that Zionism used “religious symbolism…to groom other modernised men and women of Jewish descent to exert political influence at the highest levels of public office by using the guilt of the pogroms and offered a solution to the ‘Jewish Question’ in Europe.”
- Posted a link on Facebook to a newspaper poll asking whether Israel had committed war crimes in Gaza, commenting: “The Jews are rallying to the poll.”
- Tweeted an image with the quote “Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal” and added “#ApartheidIsrael”.
- Proposed that the Jewish state should be “relocated” to America, suggesting that she would “tweet Barack Obama and David Cameron and put this idea to them”.
Shah has now apologised and resigned as an aide to the Shadow Chancellor, John McDonnell MP, but is still a Labour MP and sits on the House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee (chaired by Labour MP Keith Vaz) which is about to launch an Inquiry into the Rise of Antisemitism.
Despite his inaction over antisemitic remarks by Sir Gerald Kaufman MP, Jeremy Corbyn MP has repeatedly insisted that he is “implacably opposed” to antisemites and John McDonnell MP has called for them to be expelled from the Labour Party for life.
Today the Labour Party has issued a statement pointing out that Shah posted this material before she was an MP and apologised “for any offence caused”.
One cannot simply apologise for “any offence caused” and expect evidence of gross and brazen antisemitism to disappear. Once again the Labour Party has been revealed to have within its ranks people who express extreme prejudice towards Jewish people in their public statements; once again the party has failed to find these statements itself, and reject those who freely and willingly express them. How can we believe Labour when it says it takes the problem of Jew-hatred seriously when it repeatedly defends antisemitic MPs. It seems that Jeremy Corbyn’s anti-racism policy only operates when convenient.
Naz Shah MP must immediately be expelled from the Labour Party and removed from the Home Affairs Select Committee before it conducts its inquiry into the rise of antisemitism.
