Get Jeremy Corbyn to denounce QueerAF Brighton as a misogynistic hate group.

The Issue

Dear Jeremy Corbyn, Leader of the Labour Party,

Appalled by the treatment of women, who want to hold meetings and discuss hard fought for sex based rights we are creating this petition after the frightening events of Monday 23rd September when a Women's Place UK meeting was protested by an aggressive mob, organised by 'QueerAF Brighton' who banged/kicked windows and verbally assaulted attendees as well as throwing liquid over several individuals.

WPUK is made up mainly of Labour party members and the meeting itself was attended by many women as well as some men including Simon Fanshawe, co founder of Stonewall, who was quoted as being 'furious' by the protest, and Kevin Courtney joint General Secretary of the National Education Union

We ask that you (Jeremy Corbyn) stand by your promises to support women and to hold Queer AF Brighton accountable as a hate group propagating misogynistic hate whilst posing as an inclusive group.

There is no debate, women's rights are human rights and our struggles are to ensure that our sex based rights and safe spaces are protected.

We will work to ensure that Brighton and beyond is a safe place for all women and we are sure the Labour Party, with its history of standing up for women will continue

Yours sincerely,

Emily Hastings

Concerned meeting attendee.
