In post EU referendum UK the two new political identities and, Leave and Remain, do not align with the two main political parties.

Many Remain supporters voted for Labour in 2017, only to have their vote interpretted as support for Brexit: '80% of voters voted for parties that supported Brexit etc'.

Many Remain supporters will vote for Labour in the 2019 election based on the current committment to a second referendum with an option to remain. However, many are concerned that their vote will again be misinterpreted. More Remain supporters will vote for Labour if they can have more confidence that this will not happen again.

We, the undersigned, call for Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party to recognise that a vote for Labour does not equal a vote, or support for, Brexit.

Many of us will vote for Labour as the party best placed to defeat the Conservatives and for the UK to have the opportunity for a final say on Brexit.
