Jerahn Tucker - age 17, first offense facing 35 years in prison!
The Issue
Jerahn Tucker, a 17-year-old boy from Douglasville, Georgia, is facing 35 years in prison for the crimes of unauthorized use of a credit card and auto entering. While Jerahn was arrested and housed at Georgia’s Douglas County Jail for his charges, he appeared on the A&E network’s television program, Beyond Scared Straight.
Prior to Jerahn’s arrest, he was preparing for his prom, doing great in school, and engaging in typical teenager activities such as writing music, and studying and exploring his love for science. Sadly though, Jerahn became entangled with the wrong crowd which soon brought about his current nightmare.
Jerahn made poor choices that have affected his life. But, should Jerahn face 35 years in prison for these types of non-violent charges? Absolutely NOT! Please join in the Fight for Jerahn Tucker. Sign the petition and share his story with your family and friends. Today’s youth are being held captive behind bars for non-violent crimes and are being sentenced harshly.
Today’s youth need guidance and direction, NOT PRISON! If there are any questions, please contact the Fight for Jehran Tucker Team at fightforjerahn@gmail.com or you can visit his support page on Facebook to keep up with his case at FIGHT FOR JERAHN TUCKER.
*******As of Thursday March 20th, 2014, Jerahn Tucker was released on bail after a second arrest for the same case. The charge of auto entering was added to his indictment. Jerahn court hearings will proceed Summer 2014******
Thank You,
