As mums to boys in Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn who recently received 'isolation' as punishment for breaking the uniform policy by wearing plain black shorts to school on a hot day, myself and Angela are trying to get the uniform policy changed to include shorts for boys in the summer months. 

The uniform policy allows girls to wear skirts OR trousers yet boys are restricted to trousers all year round. Allowing shorts to be worn will keep the boys cooler and more comfortable in warm weather, therefore making school more appealing to ALL the boys who attend. 

We have a meeting with governors arranged to discuss policy change,having this as evidence that other parents and pupils are supportive of this would be a help! We would be really grateful if you could sign the petition and Thank you for taking the time to read this.
