As you are aware Jennings County along with several counties was hit very hard by EHD in fall of 2025.  Our deer numbers are low and I am petitioning the DNR to drop the quota until the deer herd rebounds.  The DNR used an emergency amendment to drop it  but that only lasts 180 days.  We are asking the DNR to reduce the number of does harvested to allow the deer herd to rebuild.  The DNR is fully aware of the reduction EHD caused.  They are on our side but need input.   Change.org does have a donation ability when you sign petition.  There is zero obligation to donate money, however, if any money is donated it will go to a local food bank within Jennings county.  Venison feeds a lot of hungry people.
