In our school district and many others, taking physical education at the grade ten level is a graduation requirement. This is unfair to those who are physically unable to complete this, like me. I (Bee) have a physical disability that makes it very difficult, and often nearly impossible, to do any physical activity, so gym class has always been something I've avoided.

We are not asking to remove this completely, we are only asking for an alternative; perhaps a non-physical health class. I would love to be able to learn the sorts of healthy lifestyle things you may learn in a P.E. class, but that is not possible for me at this moment. It may not be possible for me to graduate at all, and how is that fair? How is that equal?

We are asking the Ministry of Education in British Columbia, the Minister of Education Jennifer Whiteside, and any other schools and school districts with rules like this, to at least take this into consideration. I should have just as much of an opportunity in the world as anyone else.
