co-op, please stop sourcing crisps from badger killers.

The Issue

Cobrey Farms in Herefordshire is involved in the badger cull and allowing the now condemned method of "free shooting", which involves shooting badgers in their family groups who have been lured to piles of peanuts.

With the British Veterinary Association now speaking out against this method of killing we think that should be enough for the Co-op with it's high animal welfare standards to no longer source crisps from Tyrrells crisps, those crisps come from potatoes grown at Cobrey Farm.

But not only does Cobrey kill badgers on their land, but they have also illegally buried tons of out of date chemicals and banned pesticides in fields where amongst other crops, Potatoes have been grown.

Please send a polite email to the co-op asking them to source their potatoes from farms that don't kill badgers.

If Cobrey farms pulls out of the badger cull then the amount of land signed up for the cull within the zone will drop below 70% which is a licence requirement, so the badger cull in Gloucestershire should immediately end with them pulling out.
