A group of concerned Dade County residents have come together because we believe that an animal shelter is key to helping lost, found, stray and unwanted dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in our county. Furthermore, we believe a shelter would be able to provide the public with information about low cost spay/neuter clinics in the tri-state area as well as provide educational programs for school children. An animal shelter would also give high school students and others the opportunity to meet their community service requirements.

We are asking the citizens of Dade County to sign this petition requesting the Dade County Commissioners to approve our request and take the necessary actions needed to build an animal shelter. The signatures on this petition will show the Commissioners that citizens in Dade County see the necessity of, and truly desire to have an animal shelter built.
