Jennie Nguyen to be FIRED from "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" #RHOSLC
The Issue
Jennie Nguyen is a cast member on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City". The series premiered in November 2020, with Nguyen joining the show in the second season--it's current season--as a full-time cast member. Since joining the show, Nguyen hasn't offered much as a cast member. Her (phony) sister-wife storyline hasn't clicked with viewers. Her fellow co-stars Jen Shah, who is under investigation for wire fraud and money laundering, and Mary Cosby--who is highly controversial--both good and bad, have been front and center in the drama, and the most talked about this season.
On Wednesday January 19th, 2022, Jennie Nguyen's previous Facebook posts resurfaced online which are offensive, disrespectful, racist and ignorant. One post by Nguyen stated that "hundreds of blacks shot and killed by each other every week"...another stated that "if you follow officers orders, you won't get shot." Philando Castile, Elijah McClain, Breonna Taylor, and many more black and brown people followed officers orders and lost their lives because they were black or brown. These were innocent, hard-working people, had families, and so much to live for. The audacity for Nguyen to say and post what she did speaks volumes to her character.
Nguyen had a lot of animosity toward Mary Cosby in the beginning of the season, and came off very aggressive. With these posts resurfacing, which was not long ago, Bravo must take action and remove Jennie Nguyen from "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" before season 3 begins filming. Keeping her on the show will show that the network is not serious about equality, inclusion, and promoting a safe environment.
In this climate and time that we are living in, black and brown people are in fear daily of falling victim to police brutality and becoming the next hashtag. As a near-50 year-old woman, and a person of color who's faced obstacles growing up, Jennie should know better! We must teach our children and the next generation about equality and love. We are all the same!
Jennie talks about Asian hate in the United States and around the world, but appears to highly dislike black people. Bravo must FIRE her! This is not a good look for their network or #RHOSLC! Make that move now, Andy and Bravo! She hasn't added anything to the show anyway.
Here are two links for all to view Nguyen's horrible and recent problematic Facebook posts:
