Dear Petitioners:

We’ve won our demand for a town hall meeting! Thanks to all your support, after filing our petition Friday we received the following rseponse from Ulster County Deputy Executive Amanda Lavalle:

“... the County Executive has received the petition and, in recognition of the concerns raised, will be setting up a listening session together with the Mayor to ensure there is space for additional input and discussion. We truly value the community’s advocacy and commitment to making sure all voices are heard.”

It appears, however, that the Metzger administration has NOT canceled their plans to relocate the UCAT hub to Development Court or to change routes and schedules tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 15.

Therefore, how shall we continue to exert pressure with respect to our other demands?

Riders of Ulster Transit Alliance (RUTA), who helped to compose this petition, will have a conference call tonight, Sunday, or tomorrow, Monday night, to discuss.
