Marrero Desto is a New Orleans local rapper who was shot dead at the age 35. That’s the title the news will give you, but what they won’t say is, how he was shot and why. He was shot due to the fact that they thought his cellular device was a gun. 

I write this petition so that we hold the cops who murdered Desto in cold blood accountable for their actions. We refuse to let these men walk around in our home, and kill those who need protection just like their white counterparts. They continue to lie to this day stating “ The video shows he was armed,” while Nola.com states you can not even see it in the video. 

These officers slaughter Black people with no repercussions. It is time to hold everyone in government and the police department accountable.
