On Sunday April 12th, 2015, Jake, a 3 year old Chocolate Labrador Retriever who was with his family on their large property playing with the kids as his pet parents were chopping wood. At noon, Jake went missing. Hours later Jake was found in a 25 foot ditch at the side of the road off Eleventh Line Road in Douro-Dummer Township in a gravel pit, several kilometres from their home, without his collar on. He had been shot in the back of his head, at point blank range. Jake leaves behind a grieving family, including 3 young daughters. We hope his murderer is brought to justice.
