Pit Bulls Against Misinformation

Post can be viewed at http://www.facebook.com/SayNoToFarmersIns : Hi Everyone, thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. We sincerely appreciate this opportunity to hopefully clarify a few things. To start, we found that in California, three breeds were accounting for a significant number of dog bite claims. We had two choices, we could either raise rates on all of our customers, which we try to avoid, or we could have customers that own those breeds sign an exclusion that says if their dog bites or injures somebody, that injury will not be covered. We are not cancelling anybody's policies based on the breed of their dog. We love dogs as much as anybody, truly. Those customers who own one of the breeds listed and who wish to keep some liability coverage for their dog, may still contact their Farmers agent to discuss options for securing dog liability coverage elsewhere. Thanks again for this opportunity to reply to your page. We appreciate it.
