Last year, the student body at JBU made a strong statement in the collection of 300 signatures to protest Governor Asa Hutchinson's ban on refugees entering Arkansas. They paved the way for this year's movement for direct action on campus when Mr. Huckabee arrives at JBU. This year, we are aiming for 1,000 signatures to send a bold and strong statement to the administration of JBU: Stand for Mercy and Speak Out against injustice. Mr. Huckabee is coming to speak to us about Civic Leadership. But let's show him what civic leadership looks like in our collaborative effort to protest his alignment with Donald Trump's legislation that marginalizes the most vulnerable, isolates our neighbors, and justifies oppression. If you'd like to stay connected with how to join our campus demonstrations, please join our FB group: JBU Direct Action: Stand Up to Huckabee https://www.facebook.com/groups/718695648290387/719438814882737/?notif_t=like¬if_id=1485716890381072
