   Present day Tacoma, a city currently under fire for the senseless murder of an unarmed black man by the Tacoma Police Department. Even with live footage of the murder, it still took 3 months to even speak of holding officers accountable and calling for the opening of an investigation. This most recent event is a clear lens showing the multiple forms of police brutality and systematic racism that exists within the Tacoma Police Department/Pierce County Prosecutors Office. 

PRIME EXAMPLE:

   July 8, 2006 a black teenager was killed by a bullet to the back of the head, stemming from a shootout that took place outside a youth nightclub.  What should have been a routine investigation, was instead handled by a corrupt detective who not only discovered evidence leading to the actual killer; but offered the killer a proposition he couldn't refuse: say Verrick Yarbrough did it and he would walk free. The killer did just that.

   In doing so... a false narrative was created; that scientific, material, and physical evidence along with eyewitness accounts prove to be impossible. Not only did this lead to an innocent teen being sentenced to 66 years in prison, it allowed the actual killer to walk free and lead a life of crime. This included kidnapping, multiple assaults, robberies, and most recently another senseless murder. A murder in which the killer is currently in custody awaiting trial.

   Over the years, while this was happening, Verrick Yarbrough who was well known as a popular and talented basketball player was serving time for someone else's crime. 

   Through his suffering, Verrick managed to educate himself in law and business. Thus, digging up exonerating evidence that was purposely swept under the rug during his trial. Now armed with the exonerating evidence, HE WILL NO LONGER BE SILENCED. This evidence consists of fingerprint matches leading to a connection of the killer and the murder weapon, recorded jail phone calls of the killer's confessions, 911 calls of the eyewitnesses identifying the killer. and MUCH MORE!

   This is not the average cry of a criminal claiming he is innocent. Yes, this is a complete injustice. IT IS MORE SO, INHUMANE AND MORALLY WRONG! 

   Now that we are faced with the COVID-19 pandemic, Verrick's health issues leaves him at high risk in a facility where confirmed COVID-19 cases/deaths are rising daily. The rate in which the virus spreads is 2.5 times faster in prison; TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE! This wrongful conviction could possibly turn into a DEATH SENTENCE. HIS LIFE IS AT RISK WITH EVERY BREATH HE TAKES! 

Verrick has not only used his time to better himself but others as well. He has co-created a non-profit organization called T.R.U.T.H Foundation (To Reach U Through Him/Her) dedicated to helping the growth and development of the youth. He also created a company called W.A.N.G LLC (We All Need God Guiding A New Generation) which consists of education and entertainment, multiple advertising, and business ventures.
