In November of 2019 "Washington Advisory Vote 20," a question on adding a tax to fund long term healthcare services, was floated on a ballot. 62.92% of the population voted AGAINST this mandatory tax/coverage(Ballot Results). In 2021, we have learned that despite the majority voting AGAINST this, Governor Inslee ignored the voice of his people and has now begun the process of putting this into effect. This means every single employee in the state of Washington is being FORCED to either be taxed on their income, or pay for long term care benefits. This should be up to the INDIVIDUAL to decide whether or not they want this coverage, not your state or government. Please help us put a stop to unnecessary mandatory tax/insurance, and leave it up to the individual to decide what is best for their health, their income, and their future.
