I want The University of Texas at Austin to take more action against the coronavirus and take more preventative measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 on campus. The school needs to amp up testing. Currently, the school has a voluntary testing process in place for students and faculty. This is not enough, especially with game days officially starting, which brings an influx of people to campus, it's exposing students to COVID-19. 

Another concern is of "silent spreaders" of COVID-19 on campus, those who may not exhibit symptoms and feel well, but still have the disease in their system. This is a problem because they may spread the virus unknowingly. The CDC estimates that around 40% of those who have COVID-19 are asymptomatic. If you're not well, how will you know to get tested. The only way to find "silent spreaders" is through mandatory testing.

It's important that The University of Texas at Austin ensures the safety of students on campus. One way of doing this is to make coronavirus testing mandatory to all students, and routinely, at least once a week. This will ensure the safety of students, especially with current contacting & tracing efforts in place.
